Czech Donors Forum

Czech Donors Forum (CDF) is a civil association of corporate donors, foundations and non-endowed foundations. It was established in 1996 and provides support and leadership to the donor community in the Czech Republic. Its mission is to support the development of organized philanthropy and to serve the Czech donor community. It acts as a platform for the regular exchange of ideas, information and expertise. CDF activities are aimed at creating favourable conditions for giving on individual, institutional, community and company levels.

CDF provides services to donors but also to other groups (public authorities, companies, banks etc). These services mainly consist of organizing training and seminars, meetings, providing information services, publishing directories and overviews, analyses etc. CDF initiates and implements certain systematic changes. These activities are focused on the cultivation of the environment for giving, improving conditions for donors, starting inter-sectoral cooperation and in general building an infrastructure for philanthropy in the Czech Republic.

CDF is also active in international work mainly in Central and Eastern Europe, where it serves as the model association of its kind in the whole region (CEENERGI network). The Czech Donors Forum is a member of a prestigious transnational group Worldwide Initiatives for Grantmaker Support (WINGS).
